An E mail to the folks.

Posted by admin

Hey guys, Just saying hi.

Life’s been pretty crazy lately.
Working hard or hardly working not sure which one it is anymore.

My schedule is defiantly full but I enjoy it so much its barely work.

I’ll let you in on my schedule.

Monday Wednesday Friday
5 am get up.
6 am get out of bed
eat, run, eat, shower.
7  am boss gets me for work
8 pm -10 pm get off work sometimes I’ll be at the office until 1-3 am
I eat leftovers in the fridge from Rhonda’s homecooked dinner and then pass out. Sometimes I have an hour or two before bed so I sketch, research, paint, go to the hookah lounge or settle in for a movie.

In bed by midnight and asleep by 1 every night. I feel like I’m getting old.

Tuesday and Thursday

My favorite days.

5 am get up.
6 am go out to the tahitian inn. AMAZING BREAKFAST, AMAZING COFFEE AMAZING OJ. yumm plus discount for being there so early.
7 am get to school.
in between here I have a 6 hour class and then the other 12 ish hours I spend on homework, research in the Library, Or concepting creative Ideas to make my self some money so I can buy more art supplies. =D
11 pm leave school

PASS OUT

Thats my week.

About twice a month I go out. On a friday night or saturday night to party or go to a show. Don’t really enjoy the routine I was in when I first moved here. Most of those kids are graduated and I am getting them work. Show’s that if I continue down there path I’ll end up looking to undergrads for work and help.

Rather than going to a party to get wasted I use it to meet other university kids to spread my name and gain contacts.
Go to a fancy party, you;ll meet other upscale people that are doing productive things with there life.

+ hottie haha

Saturday I normally meet up with clients.

Sunday is my relax day.

Normally get up early and hit up PEARL art store and then get some kind of sunday brunch.

pretty much spend the day on what ever I feel like doing, games, lounging eating haha. My one lazy day to my self

So thats my schedule now. Pretty busy but I love it.

Starting to get into more artsy things.
Dabbling into Painting, sketching with charcol and various inks on different mediums.

Lithography has goten my atn.

I am going to invest on an air brush soon. Get back into making models and then shoot them and photoshop them.

Think it will be a good thing to add to my portfolio. And a fun thing to do on weekends rather than going out and getting drunk.

Art materials are intense. Spending about 100 dollars a week on supplies now but definatly worth it. Helps me get my creative side flowing more and keeps me intrested because there is so much to learn.

Learning a few things about organizing, keeping a book now with my businesscard contacts. Looking into a CRM program as well. Ill bring one home for PC’s its called ACT. CRM is Client relations Manager. Basically the best way to keep all your contacts in order and builds a great database that you can search in so many ways.

Anyway. I’ll bring that out to you.

Just thought I’d update you on a few things.

Alot goin on now. Feel like I am starting to see a light at this tunnel.

Feeling like this is going to turn into a career rather than a job.

Anyway. Would like to get a few contacts.

Ask your brother if he needs anything designed. I owe him a calandar. I can make the 2009 one. I need images from Dad. I would like to do this for him. Not sure if hed want a 12 page book type or a one page poster.

I could even get a good deal on printing but shipping would be rediculous so see if you can get pricing from him and see if its cheaper to do it out there. Just ask him for quotes for previous years and find out how many prints he has been getting.

Also. Still waiting on info for both David-san.com and therobinsonstudio.com

Guess that wraps things up.

I am looking into a few big expenses in the near future.
-new mack book. Selling this one and upgrading. Probably gona wait until the 17 in gets upgraded before I buy it. But with the image size’s and multiple programs that I use There is alot of time wasted waiting for things to load. I have maxed out the memory to 3 gigs. The extra gig that the new mother board will help improve the preformance.

- Adobe Creative Suite CS4 just came out.
means another 1grand purchase on software upgrade.

- I would like to take a trip out to europe to study the design out there, Every day I reaseach international art. It’s so much different than the american style and if I can produce international styles then I wil become more valuable. Also want to visit the Louvre and various landmarks and museums.

Think I am going to apply to YAMAMOTO-MOSS for my internship once I re-up my portfolio.

I belive I have a good shot at making it even with out the family conections.
About 6 more months and My new portfolio will be ready to send out and working with them over most of the agencies here would better things mainly because of the international client base.

There is a good posibility that I will be flying out to turkey for a month with my boss’ to do design work for the world cup. Istanbull. Pretty excited about that. All expense’s will be paid. We just did a big event for the world series. Did work for names like Coor’s Light, Redbull, Jabawakeez (nationally known dancers).

Things are starting to get together.

My client base is building up. I work with over 100 clients now that I design for and branded most of them.

If you can send that check out to my school soon I would apreaciate it.

I am taking a trip with ryan up to NYC nov 21st – nov 23rd to study the Guggenheim Museum and other museums. If you have any insite or ideas of good places to go while I am there let me know. Meeting up with a few clients up there as well.

Okay almost 9 now. I need to get to work.

Hope things are going well.

Love you.

Kind Regards,
